PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop soup leak preventing capacity by providing a recessed part to the periphery of the corresponding position of a male mold opposed to the inner surface side of a cavity part forming position in a contact state and providing an expansion and contraction member to the inner periphery of the recessed part. ;SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin foamed sheet 6 is superposed on the surface of a female mold 5 and, thereafter, a male mold 1 and the female mold 5 are clamped. If compressed air is introduced into a recessed part 3 from piping 2, the expansion and contraction member 8 connected from the inner wall 4 in the recessed part 3 to the lower wall 7 therein is expanded to press the inner surface of the thermoplastic resin foamed sheet 6 held between the femele and male molds 1, 5 and, if compressed air is discharged subsequently, the expansion and contraction member is contracted to form a cavity part 9 to the inner surface of the thermoplastic resin foamed sheet 6. After it is confirmed that the expansion and contraction member 8 is perfectly contracted, the molds are opened to obtain a container main body having a deep annular cavity part 9 formed to the entire periphery thereof at the position in the vicinity of the mouth part thereof.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
