PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a terminal to perform roaming with scanning of a smaller number of channels by statistically predicting a roaming destination access point for the terminal on the basis of a roaming history in order to reduce a scanning period of time.;SOLUTION: In an infrastructure type radio LAN system, an access point device comprises a roaming history managing part 141 for storing the total number of roaming times of each roaming destination as history each time roaming is performed while performing a radio LAN service, and a scan channel candidate notifying part 142 for determining an access point of a roaming destination as a scan channel candidate in order of the number of roaming times on the basis of the stored history and notifying a mobile terminal device coming to connect to its own access point of the access point.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
