PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foaming styrene particles able to give a molding excellent in water-leak preventing property, a method for manufacturing the same, and a foamed molding. ;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing foaming styrene resin particles comprises a process in which a styrene monomer is subjected to suspension polymerization or seed polymerization in the presence of a suspension stabilizer and radical polymerization initiators to impregnate the resin particles with a foaming agent. The polymerization is carried out with a low temperature-type polymerization initiator having a decomposition temperature of 50-80°C at which the half time is 10 hr and subsequently with a high temperature-type polymerization initiator consisting of n-butyl-4,4-bis(t-butylperoxy)valerate and/or t- hexylperoxyisopropyl monocarbonate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
