PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling planting machine solving the problems that conventional planting machines designed to be loaded with seedlings inclusive of seedling boxes is complicated in seedling conveying path, the relevant operability being problematic; further, depending on the configuration of such a path, an unreasonable force is applied on the seedling boxes, resulting in their deformation and/or seedlings' slipping off the boxes.;SOLUTION: This seedling planting machine includes a seedling box platform 21, a seedling box conveying section 22 functioning to convey seedling boxes placed on the platform 21 slantly downward and then slantly upward upon making a U-shaped reverse conveyance, and an empty box containing section 23 for containing empty boxes conveyed by the section 22. Seedlings are removed from the seedling boxes at a position prior to their conveyance to the U-shaped reverse conveyance point of the section 22, thus serving the upstream side of the seedling-removing position as a conveying section at the side of seedling box feed, while the downstream side as a conveying section at the side of seedling box return, and the angle of downward inclination in the conveying direction at the first half of the former conveying section is set to be smaller than that at the latter half.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
