PURPOSE: To correct power-OFF misoperation due to a misapprehesion by quitting power-OFF operation when one of various keys is operated within a specific time and performing the power-OFF operation a specific time later when not. CONSTITUTION: When a game button other than a power source is pressed and one of command signals (b)-(f) is a signal 1, a timer is cleared and a game is continued without power-OFF operation. When the game button is not further pressed and a player performs no button operation, it is checked whether or not the timer has clocked the set time. When a certain time, e.g. 2 seconds are elapsed, a power-OFF process is started. When the timer does not reach the set time, it is checked again whether a button for interruption for quitting the power-OFF process is operated. Namely, even if the power-OFF operation is done once, it can be canceled within a specific time, e.g. 2 seconds if the power button is pressed by mistake.
