A detection reagent, detection method and detection kit for Alzheimer's risk factor comprising an antibody specific for apolipoprotein E4 and antibodies against apolipoprotein E2, apolipoprotein E3 and all of apolipoprotein E4 as active ingredients are disclosed. As a result, the apolipoprotein E4 genotype can be detected with lower cost and higher sensitivity than the PCR method currently used for genetic testing.
