"Method for descriptive analysis of the phases present in the iron ore concentrates.The quantification of goethite, magnetite, martita and especularita in iron ore was carried out through a combination of chemical analysis and X-ray diffraction.It was observed that the intensity of diffraction peak (111) of the goethite is constant for a given sample in the sample holder is used.The calibration curves with a linear behavior were obtained using the peak areas (111) and the quantities of goethite obtained by spectroscopy mu00f7ssbauer and light microscopy.In addition, the full width of the peak (012) of hematite increases linearly with the increase of the amount of martita, allowing an estimate of the levels of martita and especularita.
