FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation and drying of iron-ore concentrate used in technological process of continuous liquid-phase reduction of metals. During continuous wet fine finely ironed concentrate continuous preparation for liquid-phase reduction of metals weighting is performed and mixing the concentrate with lime in a mixer, drying the obtained mixture and holding it to hardness, followed by crushing of the obtained solid mixture. Prior to mixing of concentrate and lime, lime is burnt in a stream of gas leaving the melting unit of continuous action. Lime is milled and obtained powder of fresh burnt lime is mixed with iron-ore concentrate in amount of 75–110 kg per 1 ton of concentrate. Mixture is dried on conveyor in countercurrent of gas containing CO2, coming from melting unit or limestone burning furnace and cooled to temperature of 150–200 °C, to hardening of mixture in flow with subsequent crushing in 20–60 minutes after beginning of blowing with gas, wherein continuous loading of crushed mixture into liquid slag-ore metal melt of melting unit.;EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of drying and agglomeration of the mixture of lime and concentrate and lowers the cost of the end product.;12 cl, 1 dwg
