"HUMAN DESUBIQUITINATING PROTEASE GENE ON CHROMOSOME 7 AND MOUSE ORTHOLOGIST OF THE SAME". Human and mouse analogs of DUBs, hematopoietic cytokine-inducible desubiquitinating proteases, agglomerates on chromosome 7 and their respective regulatory regions are identified. The nucleotide or proteins thus encoded may be used in assays to identify hDUB7 or mDUB7 inhibitors. The invention also includes transduction peptides comprising an NLS or hDUB7 or mDUB7 transduction sequence linked to a loading molecule, and methods of providing a biologically active protein, therapeutically effective compound, antisense nucleotide, or test compound to a cell in which a transduction peptide is added exogenously to a cell.
