In the present invention, there is described the use of amoxycillin trihydrate and potassium clavulanate in combination, in a weight ratio of 7:1, wherein the weights being expressed as the free parent acids amoxycillin and clavulanic acid, in the manufacture of a medicament for treating bacterial infections in pediatric patients in a BID dosage regimen.
