A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION BASED ON NANOPARTICLES OF POLYMERIC MICHELLES CONTAINING PACLITAXEL

The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition based on nanoparticles of polymeric micelles containing Paclitaxel, its derivatives or analogs physically entrapped therein, essentially comprising of Paclitaxel, its derivatives or the analogs in a concentration ranging between 0.1 to 20 mg/ml, a co-polymer comprising of monomers selected from Vinylpyrrolidone, N-isopropyl acrylamide, and functionalized polyethylene glycol, in a concentration ranging between 0.01 to 20 mg/ml, a stabilizing surfactant in a concentration ranging between 0.01 to 20 mg/ml, an alcohol, an intravenous aqueous diluting fluid, and a conventional buffering agent in a concentration sufficient to bring pH between 6.0 to 7. 5. The present invention also provides a process for preparation of such composition.
