Herbicidal compositions for tolerant or resistant Cotton crops.

Herbicidal composition comprising: (I) a glufosinate- or glyphosate-herbicide, an imidazolinone, a protoporphyrinogen oxidase inhibitory azole or a hydroxybenzonitrile; and (II) herbicides of type (I) other than (I) itself; herbicides with both foliar and soil activity; herbicides with foliar activity against dicot or monocot weeds; and herbicides with both foliar and soil activity against monocot weeds. A combination of herbicides (I) and (II) is used to control weeds in cotton crops, provided that the crops are tolerant of (I) and (II), optionally in the presence of safeners, where: (I) is selected from: (A) glufosinate or glyphosate compounds of formula (Ia) and (Ib) and their esters and salts: (B) imidazolinones; (C) protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitory azole herbicides; or (D) hydroxybenzonitriles; and (II) comprises one or more compounds selected from: (A) herbicides of type (I) other than (I) itself; (B) herbicides with both foliar and soil activity against monocot and dicot weeds; (C) herbicides with predominantly foliar activity against dicot weeds; (D) herbicides with predominantly foliar activity against monocot weeds; and (E) herbicides with both foliar and soil activity, predominantly against monocot weeds.
