The present invention refers to a Phytolaca americana, Alnus acuminata and coal tar-extract-based herbal pharmaceutical formulation for the treatment and cure of psoriasis in all of its pathological forms. Ointment is the preferred embodiment of the present invention; the same is applied from about 25 to 60 days in the body zone affected by the psoriasis. Shampoo is another preferred embodiment for scalp psoriasis; the same is applied during daily personal cleanliness for about 15 minutes, and then rinsed with water. The present invention further refers to the obtention of Phytolaca Americana and Alnus acuminata hydroalcoholic extracts.
