The apparatus (100) has an input (102) for an input signal, at least two outputs (108, 110, 112, 116, 118) for two or more output signals, an input device (114) for generating a control signal depending on the input position inputted by the user and a processor (104) for generating at least two output signals from the input signal. The processor is designed to apply two sound effects to each output signal, depending on the control signal. The sound effects can be chosen from a change in volume of at least one output signal, a time delay between at least two output signals and a difference in playback speed between the input signal and output signals.
