A topical dosage form for the treatment of fungal infections of dogs, cats, cows, sheep, pigs and poultry comprises as an active ingredient a compound of formula I, wherein R1 and R2 are selected from hydrogen, halogen and methoxy, and at least one physiologically acceptable carrier or adjuvant that is suitable for topical administration, provide that formulations containing at least one N-substituted pyrrolidinone solvent, at least one ester of polyethylene glycol, and at least one non-ionic surfactant selected from an ethoxylated ester of a fatty acid or a triglyceride are excluded.
