The method of achieving independent regulation of stabilised intensity and kinetic energy of a thermo-electron ionizing beam in a mass spectrometer, characterised in that the method takes advantage of the proportionate dependence of the intensity of a thermo-electron ionising beam on the first reference voltage and uses the linear characteristics of the voltage powering the anodal circuit as a function of the sum of first and the second reference voltage. Then, the input (1) of the electron beam stabilisation system (6) is controlled with the first reference voltage. The input (2) of the anodic circuit voltage stabilisation system (6) is controlled with a voltage proportionate to the sum of the first and the second reference voltage.
