The use of an inclusion complex of hydroxypropil-­ß-cyclodextrin with indomethacin, of 1:1 molar proportion prepared by spray-dried method, preferably but not exclusively for the pharmacological treatment of the patent ductus arteriosus closure in newborns, by administration of a pharmaceutical form of powder or other oral pharmaceutical form, minimising at the same time the gastric toxicity.
