TECHNIQUE FOR PASSAGE OF INTUBATION PROBE THROUGH ILIOCECAL FLAP IN RETROGRADE INTUBATION OF INTESTINE

The technique for the passage of the intubation probe through the iliocecal flap in retrograde intubation of intestine provides for retrograde insertion of the probe with the oliva into the cecum by the retrograde technique. The probe is then passed through the iliocecal flap. The assistant holds the probe in the intestine while the surgeon holding the oliva by the finger passes another finger through the iliocecal valve, invaginates the wall of the terminal division of the ileum, clasps the oliva with the fingers, and advances it further to the ileum.
