Method for control of the mode of operation of a technological object of main gas pipeline includes cyclic measurement of the values of the parameter characterizing the mode of operation of technological object in the controlled nodes of the gas pipeline, with saving the values of the parameter being measured, with comparison of the value of the parameter measured to its modal and limiting values, with classification of the situation or of the mode at violation of any of the limiting or modal values.
