The technique for applying coloanal anastomosis in low resection of the rectum comprises laparotomy, revision of peritoneal organs, the high-level ligation of the inferior mesenterial artery and vein, the mobilization of the colon, the total mesorectumectomy, the preparation of the rectal stump in supra-anal division, the resection of the rectum. Finally, the coloanal anastomosis is applied.
