GENERALLY, RELATIVELY LARGE UPDATE GAINS ARE APPLIED IN SITUATIONS WHERE ONLY A FAR-END USER IS SPEAKING AND A NEAR-END SIGNAL IS RELATIVELY NOISE-FREE.
