Strip guide (1) comprises controlling wheels (2a,2b) between which the strip (10) runs, with the wheel rotation axes (2c,2d) inclined in relation to a direction crossways to the strip longitudinal running direction. This guides the strip in the crossways direction. Also included is an endless belt (5) which runs around at least two rotation axes (6d) which are parallel to the strip normal (14). The wheels guide the strip in the crossways direction so that one edge (13) of the strip locates against a front surface of the belt.
