The strip (1) has control elements (2) arranged at a distance to each other and comprising pressure-side surface recesses that are formed in a longitudinal direction and/or transverse direction to a longitudinal direction of the strip, where the strip is made from plastic. A surface of the control element has distance at a base surface (12) of the strip, where the distance is changed from one of the control elements to another control element, where length of the strip is adapted to the length of a paint printing plate (6).
