A DNA construct comprising the following operably linked: a first DNA segment comprising at least a portion of SEQ ID NO: 1 from nucleotide 733 to nucleotide 1732, wherein said portion is a promoter functional transcription; A second DNA segment encoding a protein of interest to different glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase of Pichia methanolica; A third DNA segment comprising a transcription terminator; and a secretory signal sequence operably linked to the first and second DNA segments.
