The guiding device comprises a base plate and a support plate which are fixed together to the tibia, and a positioning mechanism fixed to support plate. The positioning mechanism includes a rotatable compass to make cylindrical incisions, when the tool is moved along desired cutting trajectory. The tibia superior segments are rotated until tibial plateau is leveled and the superior and inferior segments are fixed using a compression plate.
