A process for making a structural element, especially a structuralelement for a tensile building structure, comprises the steps ofpositioning a membrane-joining device in relation to a first portion of aface of a membrane and in relation to a second portion of a face of amembrane; and, using that membrane-joining device, arcuately joining thatfirst portion to that second portion. A machine for carrying out thatprocess, and a product made according to that process, are also disclosed.
