The invention relates to the use of oleanolic acid as a vasodilator and restorer agent for endothelial dysfunction. Oleanolic acid (3ß-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid) is a pentacyclic triterpene acid present in a large number of medicinal plants. The invention relates to the pharmacological application of oleanolic acid in therapeutics as a vasodilator agent and to the possible endothelial function-restoring effect thereof. The invention also outlines the action mechanism the aforementioned effects.
