Process for preparing organic functional group-containing organopolysiloxanes, organopolysiloxanes obtained by the process and mercapto group and alkoxy group-containing organopolysiloxanes and preparation thereof

A process for preparing an organic functional group-containing organopolysiloxane of the following average compositional formula (1 YmR1nSi(OR2)pO(4-m-n-p)/2 (1 wherein Y represents an organic group having a functional group, R1 represents at least one monovalent substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group and/or an alkenyl group, 0m/=1, 0/=n2, and 0/=p/=2 provided that 0m+n+p/=3. The organopolysiloxane is obtained by subjecting an organic functional group-containing alkoxysilane or its mixture with a functional group-free alkoxysilane, siloxane or silicone obtained from the group-free alkoxysilane and/or siloxane , to hydrolysis and polycondensation in the presence of a substantially neutral fluorine-containing compound. The functional group includes an epoxy group, a (meth)acryloxy group, a mercapto group and the like. Organopolysiloxanes having both a mercapto group and alkoxy group are novel ones. IMAGE
