An object of the invention is to provide an inorganic antibacterial/antifungal agent that have distinguished multiple functions on the whole with respect to antibacterial and antifungal activities, safety, stability, economical efficiency, and so on. For achieving the above purposes, the antibacterial/antifungal agent according to the present invention includes; zinc oxide as a main component; and alkali metallic salt one or more selected from the group consisting of lithium, sodium, and potassium hydroxides, hydrogencarbonates, and carbonates.
