An object of the invention is to provide an inorganic antibacterial/antifungal agent that have distinguished multiple functions on the whole with respect to antibacterial and antifungal activities, safety, stability, economical efficiency, and so on. ;For achieving the above purposes, the antibacterial/antifungal agent according to the present invention includes; zinc oxide as a main component; and ;alkali metallic salt one or more selected from the group consisting of lithium, sodium, and potassium hydroxides, hydrogencarbonates, and carbonates.
