ACTIVE OXYGEN SCAVENGER CONTAINING OCEANIC DEEP-LAYER WATER AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT, DILUTION OF OCEANIC DEEP-LAYER WATER HAVING ACTIVE OXYGEN SCAVENGING CAPABILITY AND BEVERAGE HAVING ACTIVE OXYGEN SCAVENGING CAPABILITY

An active oxygen scavenger that is capable of stably exerting an active oxygen scavenging activity, being highly safe and being free from peculiar taste and odor; a dilution of oceanic deep-layer water having active oxygen scavenging capability; and a beverage having active oxygen scavenging capability. There is provided an active oxygen scavenger comprising as an active ingredient an oceanic deep-layer water collected from an oceanic deep layer positioned at a depth of about 600 m or more from the sea surface. There is further provided a dilution having active oxygen scavenging capability produced by diluting the above oceanic deep-layer water with pure water until the weight ratio thereof based on the whole becomes about 2-11 or less. There is still further provided a dilution having active oxygen scavenging capability produced by diluting the above oceanic deep-layer water with pure water until the weight ratio thereof based on the whole becomes about 2-17 to about 2-18. There is yet still further provided a beverage having active oxygen scavenging capability produced from the above active oxygen scavenger or dilution as a raw material.
