The use of 2α,3α,17SS-trihydroxy-5α-androstan-6-one as active ingredient for plant development regulation in the form of application solution is made by dissolving active ingredients in appropriate solvent to appropriate concentration, which is then diluted with water and the application solution obtained is applied to plants.
