METHOD FOR CONNECTING BY TELEPHONE AN EXTERNAL SUBSCRIBER TO A SUBSCRIBER OF A PRIVATE AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE BRANCH EXCHANGE THROUGH AN AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE EXCHANGE

The invention relates to telephones and can be used for systems comprising private automatic telephone exchanges (PATE). The aim of said invention is to rationally use communications channels between an external subscriber and an automatic telephone exchange (ATE) and for interexchange communications within an ATE network during a time interval between the transition of an input call to the internal network subscriber and a moment when said subscriber is switched to the PATE. The inventive method for connecting by telephone an external subscriber, through a automatic telephone exchange (ATE) or an ATE network, to an internal network subscriber switched to a private automatic telephone exchange (PATE) which is a communication terminal with respect to the ATE consists in temporarily interrupting communications of the external subscriber with the PATE in the ATE or one of ATEs network during the transfer of the input call to the internal network subscriber and in re-establishing communications of said external subscriber with the PATE when the internal network subscriber is switched thereto. A connection to the internal network is assigned to a subscriber by the ATE. During the interruption of communications between the external subscriber and the PATE, the communications lines which are free during said time are used for transmitting information from the ATE to the external subscriber, or for transmitting information from one ATE to the other ATE through the network thereof or for rearranging calls in the ATE network.
