The method involves housing an optical sensor (1) in a case (2), and fixing a lower support (12) of an optical unit (11) to the case. The optical unit has an upper support, where a lens (8) is housed, aligned with the sensor to align a focal point of the lens with respect to the sensor (1). The upper support of the optical unit is welded with the lower support by energy beams. An independent claim is included for an imaging device.
