There has not be proposed a serum which can substitute for fetal bovine serum by satisfying both effects of fetal bovine serum which has been widely used up to date and types of cells which can be cultured and can satisfy economical efficiency. In order to solve the foregoing problems, the present invention provide a medium for animal cell culture which comprises pig serum in a media commonly used for cell culture and a medium for animal cell culture which comprises pig serum combined with fetal bovine serum in a media commonly used for cell culture. According to the present invention, there are provided a medium for animal cell culture containing pig serum which is cheap and has excellent effects to be used in culturing cells and a method for culturing cells using the medium for animal cell culture containing pig serum.
