The machine tool (1) has a dedicated laser beam for finishing the cutting geometry region. It has at least one conventional swarf guide step (4) and the micro-swarf guide step (5). There may be a micro-cutter (3a) fitted in the region of the cutting edge (2) and located after the conventional cutting edge (3).
