METHOD FOR PROCESSING A REPEATED MESSAGE EFFICIENTLY IN A HIGH AVAILABILITY SERVER STRUCTURE IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE FACTORS WHICH DETERIORATE PERFORMANCE OF AN ENTIRE SEVER STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A method for processing a repeated message efficiently in a high availability server structure is provided to extract parameters only for a retransmission when checking a repeated message, and to separate a message processing procedure in a server according to the extracted parameters. CONSTITUTION: An AAA receives an accounting request message from a PDSN(301), and decides whether a specific parameter is included in the message(303). If so, the AAA decides whether the specific parameter is set to a specific setup value which indicates a retransmission message(305). If so, the AAA recognizes the received accounting request message as the retransmission message(307), and compares the received accounting request message with data stored for a predetermined period within a shared record structure(309). The AAA decides whether identical data corresponding to a specific key field value within the accounting request message exists within the shared record structure(311). If so, the AAA processes the accounting request message as a repeated message(313), and ignores the accounting request message(315).
