PURPOSE: An automatic interpreter is provided to enable a driver to make a simple conversation with a foreigner by pushing buttons when the foreigner takes a taxi. CONSTITUTION: The device has several interpreting functions. The functions include saying hello, guiding the foreigner to wear the seat belt, to say a destination, to say once more, and to take other taxi, asking the foreigner whether a heater gets on, asking the foreigner to open a window or a door, and saying how much is a fare.
