METHOD FOR REDUCING A CALL DISCONNECTION RATE IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR NOT REFLECTING A SERVICE CHANGE ACCORDING TO NORMAL CALL TERMINATION ON CALL DISCONNECTION RATE STATISTICS
PURPOSE: A method for reducing a call disconnection rate in a mobile communication system, particularly for not reflecting a service change according to normal call terminal on call disconnection rate statistics, is provided to provide a call processing result and accurate information on its statistics to a system manager. CONSTITUTION: When a BSC(Base Station Controller)/PCF(Packet Control Function) receives a new call connection request from a mobile station, it determines whether the call connection request is for a CDMA2000 1x service or 1x EV-DO service(S60,S61). If the new call connection request is for the 1x EV-DO service, the BSC/PCF allocates an 1x EV-DO channel frequency to the mobile station and provides an 1x EV-DO high speed packet data service to the mobile station(S62,S63). When the BSC/PCF receives a reverse pilot signal or a DRC(Data Rate Control) signal from the mobile station, it keeps providing the packet data to the mobile station(S64). When the mobile station receives a CDMA2000 1x paging signal from a base station, it turns off an RF(Radio Frequency) signal tuned with the 1x EV-DO channel frequency on service(S65). The BSC/PCF checks whether a CDMA2000 1x channel card has transmitted a paging signal to the mobile station(S66). The BSC/PCF checks whether the CDMA2000 1x channel card has received a response signal to the paging signal from the mobile station(S67). When the CDMA2000 1x channel card reports that it has received a response signal to the paging signal, to the BSC/PCF, the BSC/PCF retrieves the channel resources for the 1x EV-DO service and the service is normally terminated(S69).
