PROPULSION DEVICE FOR BICYCLE USING REVERSE POWER OF WINDED SPRING TRANSFERRED TO PEDAL GEAR

PURPOSE: A propulsion device for a bicycle is provided to propel the bicycle at an uphill road or long-time driving by storing resilient energy in a downhill road or initial driving using a spring winded capable of transfer its reverse power to pedal gear. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion device for a bicycle includes a spring(14). The spring is wound with a rotational operation of a rotational plate(18) with a chain gear(20) through a pedal gear(21) at a pedal(30) side and a chain(2) connected to the pedal gear. The spring is wound and unwound with the structure of a spring protrusion(8a) on a spring winder barrel(7) and a protrusion(15a) on a spring winder opening(15). To store resilient energy, the propulsion device comprises a reverse rotation prevention unit(5) and the spring winder barrel for preventing the unwinding of the spring while stopping the pedaling of the bicycle.
