摘要

PURPOSE: A digital ultrasonic imaging system and a method thereof are provided to image the readable echo signal reflected from the structure in examining the physical defect of the water pipe or the gas pipe by using the ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION: A digital ultrasonic imaging system comprises an encoder(14) detecting the position of an ultrasonic transducer(13); an encoder counter(15) transmitting the position signal from the encoder to an image processor(16); the image processor controlling an ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit(11) to transmit the electric ultrasonic generating signal to the ultrasonic transducer in changing the position while detecting the position signal from the encoder counter periodically, and imaging by processing digital reflected ultrasonic data from the ultrasonic transducer, the ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit and an analog-to-digital converter(12); the ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit transmitting the ultrasonic generating signal to the ultrasonic transducer and receiving the reflected ultrasonic signal; the ultrasonic transducer oscillating to the object by converting the electric signal from the ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit to the ultrasonic signal, and transmitting to the ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit by converting the ultrasonic signal reflected from the object into the electric signal; and the analog-to-digital converter transmitting to the image processor by converting the analog reflected ultrasonic signal from the ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit into the digital signal.
