PURPOSE: To provide a swing screen for filtering carrier formed of sponge pieces containing microorganisms for treatment of sewage and wastewater inputted to perform second advanced purification treatment on daily life sewage or industrial sewage and wastewater in water purification plant or sewage and waste water treatment plant. CONSTITUTION: The swing screen for treating water and sewage is characterized in that a plurality of sections (2) are formed of stainless steel or nonferrous metal, through parts (2a) are formed on central parts of the plurality of sections, upper and lower supporting elements (3,4) are attached to upper and lower both end parts of the plurality of sections, reinforcing elements (3a) are attached to the other side of the upper supporting elements of the plurality of sections, reinforcing members (5) into both sides of which packings (6) formed of resin are inserted are inserted into the through parts of the plurality of sections to prevent bending of the plurality of sections, the plurality of sections are inserted into frames (9) with upper and lower parts of the plurality of sections being inserted into both supports (7,8), and an operation supporting member (10) on which a through part (10a) is formed so that crank (11a) of cam (11) is inserted into the through part is mounted on an upper central part of the frames to form a screen body.
