PURPOSE: To prepare an inorganic silver doped hydroxy apatite that maintains an antimicrobial effect for a longer period of time. CONSTITUTION: In a method for preparing silver doped hydroxy apatite by using calcium compound and phosphorus compound as starting materials, the method comprises first process of coprecipitating silver ions when reacting the calcium compound and phosphorus compound in a Ca/P ratio range of 1.7 to 2.1; and second process of evaporating ammonia water by heating an obtained precipitate, wherein the first process is performed in an aqueous solution state, wherein the first process is performed under the condition that the aqueous solution has a pH of 9 to 12, and wherein an injection quantity of Ag in the first process is 0.01 to 10 mole% of that of Ca.
