PURPOSE: A method for using a directional antenna to enhance a wireless mesh network is provided to improve connectivity of a wireless mesh network. CONSTITUTION: In order for the first infrastructure component(201) among a plurality of infrastructure components(201-205) to communicate with a destination through the second infrastructure component(202), the first infrastructure component(201) uses the first directional antenna beam. The first infrastructure component determines to communicate with the destination through the third infrastructure component(203) alternatively. In this case, in order to communicate with the destination through the third infrastructure component(203), the first infrastructure component uses the second directional antenna beam.
