PURPOSE: A method for using a directional antenna to increase a throughput in a wireless network is provided to enlarge the coverage of a directional antenna and easily pass an obstacle by using directional beams. CONSTITUTION: An omni-directional antenna(203) receives a data notification signal from each wireless device(222,221). The data notification signal indicates that there is program data each wireless device(222,221) needs to transmit to an antenna device(201). The antenna device(201) determines whether each wireless device(222,221) has program data to be transmitted to the antenna device(201) based on the data notification signal. The antenna device(201) discriminates whether each wireless device(222,221) is most likely in a range of at least one of directional antennas. The antenna device(201) uses one of directional antennas(204) in order to receive the program data from each wireless device(222,221) in response to receipt of the data notification signal.
