PURPOSE: A reflection-transmission type LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the damage of a pad due to etching solution for patterning a reflection electrode, thereby improving the reliability of the manufacturing process by forming an inner hole in the pad and covering the inner side of pad with an insulating layer. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines(111) having gate pads(111a) and a plurality of data lines(114) having data pads(114a) cross over to designate a plurality of pixel cell regions. Each of the pixel cell regions has a reflection region and a transmission region. Each of the gate and the data pads has an inner hole. A plurality of TFT(Thin Film Transistor) and a plurality of transmission electrode(115) are formed in the pixel cell regions. A plurality of gate pad and data pad terminals(115a,115b) contact with the gate and the data pads through inner holes of the gate and the data pads, respectively. An insulating layer(120) is formed to cover the pixel region and the inner sides of the gate and the data pads. A plurality of convex-concave patterns(116b) are formed over the reflection regions of the pixel cell regions respectively. A plurality of reflection electrodes(119) are formed to cover the resultant reflection regions comprising the convex-concave patterns.
