PURPOSE: A smart card having function for storing security information detecting an abnormal state according to external environment changes and a security information detecting method for the same are provided to keep detection information, even if a chip is reset, by storing the detection information when the abnormal state according to the external environment changes is detected. CONSTITUTION: The smart card is equipped with a ROM(150), a CPU(110), a RAM(140), an EEPROM(Electronically Erasable Programmable ROM)(120), and a security part(130). The security part is equipped with abnormality detectors(131), a detection information writing controller(132), and a reset signal generator(133). The abnormality detectors detect the abnormal state according to the external environment changes and output multiple detection signals having a logical level depending on a detection result. The detection information writing controller generates a program control signal and an address signal by responding to the detection signals. The reset signal generator outputs a reset signal if the EEPROM completes an operation for storing the detection information.
