PURPOSE: Porous inorganic materials dispersed in a liquid, colloidal suspensions, are provided for use as impact attenuators or vibration attenuators dissipating impact energy applied from the outside. CONSTITUTION: The inorganic materials used as impact attenuators are clusters of porous inorganic particles with fine pores on which a hydrophobic coating layer, consisting of a linear chain of alkylsilane bound on the interface of particles, is formed, wherein the inorganic particles, having a different pore structure such as single, double, or hollow pore structure, are silica gel, Al2O3, carbon nanotube, Al-Si, C-Si, Cr-Si, etc., and the clusters are mixtures of two or more of particles having a different pore structure.
