PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing strip by twin roll strip casting apparatus, wherein a casting slab having good quality is manufactured more economically at high yield by forming a pluralities of prominences and depressions on a surface part of the edge of rolls of the twin roll strip casting apparatus, thereby increasing contact area between molten steel and the rolls. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing strip by twin roll strip casting apparatus, wherein the strip is directly and continuously manufactured by passing molten stee(2) supplied from a nozzle through a pair of rotating rolls of which inner part is cooled by water, the method is characterized in that the pair of rolls are rolls in which contact area between the surface of the rolls at the edge of the rolls and molten steel is 20% or more larger than the contact area between the surface of the rolls at the center of the rolls and molten steel, wherein increase of the contact area between the surface of the rolls at the edge of the rolls and molten steel is accomplished by prominences and depressions formed on the surface the rolls, and wherein increase of the contact area between the surface of the rolls at the edge of the rolls and molten steel is accomplished by cylindrical projection parts (relievo)(12) formed on the surface the rolls.
