PURPOSE: A communication apparatus and method between a computer and a mobile terminal is provided to connect a connection cable to a camera-equipped mobile terminal for picture communication without the necessity of additionally installing a camera, a speaker, and a microphone by extending an input/output connector installed in the mobile terminal and connecting a plurality of communication cables to the connector. CONSTITUTION: If an operation for data communication starts, a computer recognizes an RS-232C serial communication device through an RS-232C connector in a state that the computer is connected with a mobile terminal through a multi-connector(501,502). If the RS-232C serial communication device is recognized, data communication is executed between the computer and the mobile terminal(503). In case that the mobile terminal transmits a call, an audio signal is transferred to the multi-connector through the audio connector block of the mobile terminal. The audio signal, transferred to the multi-connector, is forwarded to the computer through the microphone connector block and speaker connector block of the multi-connector(505).
